Sauchiehall Street in Glasgow, filmed on a baking hot day in July 1990 as the city was in the middle of its year-long run as European Capital of Culture. This was the year of Frank Sinatra, Luciano Pavarotti, the Rolling Stones, and The Big Day, the largest free music festival ever to be held in Scotland which drew crowds of 300,000 across its city centre venues. It was also the year of the inaugural Glasgow International Jazz and Folk Festival, the Glasgow's Glasgow exhibition, and the first ev
