Raptor rehabilitation is one of the main pillars of the AEF’s mission. We take in everything from eagles and hawks to owls and vultures. This adult eastern screech owl was found with a piece of string entangled in one of its wings. Thankfully the person who found this bird immediately sought professional help for it, and trained avian care specialists were able to successfully remove the string without causing permanent damage.
