BREAKING: According to flight-tracking website FlightAware, the plane had taken off from Statesville just eight minutes before the crash and data suggests they were returning to the airport when the crash happened. The National Transportation Safety Board and the FAA are investigating to determine what caused the crash. The U.S. government admitted in court documents to failures that led to the January midair collision between a passenger jet and a military helicopter that killed 67 people in all.
