✨Science Insight✨ New asteroid alert! 2025 RL2 is a near-Earth asteroid discovered on September 13th during its journey towards our planet. It already flew by the Earth on the 19th at only half a lunar distance away. This small asteroid is estimated to be only 17-37 meters wide, about the size of the Chelyabinsk meteor, but it is still visible to Unistellar telescopes! Citizen astronomer Randall Blake in the US was able to detect 2025 RL2 during its close approach. Congrats Randall 🎉 #citizenas
