The E/A-18G Growler crashed into the water off San Diego after its two aviators ejected. The aircraft is believed to have crashed between Point Loma and Naval Air Station North Island.

The US Navy said the two pilots involved in the military plane crash near San Diego are in 'good condition' and under 24-hour medical observation.

Two US Navy pilots are safe after ejecting from their EA-18G Growler before it crashed into San Diego Bay on 12 February. The pilots were rescued by a nearby fishing boat soon after they splashed down into the water and were taken to hospital in a stable condition.
