A vigil for NYPD Det. Didarul Islam, one of the four victims killed in Monday's Midtown Manhattan office building shooting, was held Friday in the Bronx.The somber event provided some solace to Islam's brothers and sisters in blue.

Police Officer Didarul Islam, a father of two with a baby on the way, was one of the four people killed by Shane Tamura inside 345 Park Ave. on Monday.

Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch said Officer Islam, who was killed in Monday’s massacre, had been posthumously promoted to detective first grade. Mayor Eric Adams was among the other speakers at a service held at a mosque in the Bronx.
