Chelsea put four past 10-player Crystal Palace to move within four points of a sixth successive Women's Super League title.

Crystal Palace were relegated from the Womens' Super League (WSL) following a 7-1 beating at the hands of West Ham United on Sunday. With two games left to play, Palace dropped back down to the second tier after a single unhappy season in the top flight.

Crystal Palace were promoted to replace Bristol City in the top flight, while on a wider note, the league is now under the management and operation of a new organisation set up to lead women's football towards further growth and progression, with Nikki Doucet overseeing both the WSL and Championship in a new phase for the game.
