It took the Vancouver Canucks a couple of months to negotiate and finally pull off a trade with one of their feuding stars. As the heat between Elias Pettersson and J.T. Miller continued, both found themselves among potential trade pieces for the Canucks.

According to NHL insider Chris Johnston, appearing on TSN's "OverDrive" on Tuesday, the organization has not ruled out the possibility of trading Elias Pettersson as the internal problems have gone nowhere and the forward has spent the season underperforming.

It took all of five days for Marcus Pettersson to sign a contract with his new team. But the fit was so good for the newest Canuck defenceman right out of the box that he didn’t hesitate about the idea of a deal with his new team.
