Amid growing concern from the university community against recent U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement raids, Texas A&M University officials alerted students on Thursday that ICE officers would be allowed on campus.

Students from Santa Monica High School are joining groups across Southern California as they once again walk out of schools in protest of President Donald Trump’s immigration policies. An Instagram account created to organize Thursday’s walk-out wrote in a post that SAMOHI students are protesting “the Trump Administration’s reactionary far right policies.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) continue to rack up a number of arrests of convicted criminal illegal immigrants, including those convicted of murder, robbery and domestic violence.
