The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) on Saturday suspended its funding to the Muhammed Yunus-led interim Bangladesh government after President Donald Trump suspended all foreign aid for 90 days.
This action comes in compliance with an executive order signed by Trump on January 20, which temporarily halts all U.S. foreign aid for a period of 90 days.
The latest move comes as the US government, through its donor agency USAID, announced the immediate cessation of all work in Bangladesh, including contracts, grants, cooperative agreements, and other procurement instruments.
