For the second time in as many seasons, the Los Angeles Dodgers are opening their regular season on foreign soil as they are set to take on the Chicago Cubs in the Tokyo Series.

Shota Imanaga will toe the rubber in his native Japan when the Cubs open the 2025 MLB season against the Dodgers at the Tokyo Dome.

When speaking to the media on Wednesday, Cubs manager Craig Counsell said that left-hander Justin Steele is "in line" to start Game 2 in Tokyo. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said just last week that newly signed right-hander Roki Sasaki would more than likely get the start for the Dodgers.
