Conservative activist Charlie Kirk was killed during a Turning Point USA event at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah.

Charlie Kirk, conservative political activist and co-founder of Turning Point USA, was fatally shot at Utah Valley University on Sept. 10. Kirk was shot in the neck while speaking at a Turning Point USA event, " The American Comeback Tour."

The shooting comes amid a spike in attacks on political figures in the United States across all parts of the ideological spectrum.
