At the NFL Honors, the league announced its individual awards tonight and presented its five-player Hall of Fame class
Matthew Stafford walked away with the AP NFL Most Valuable Player award and a declaration that he’s returning to the Los Angeles Rams for another season. Stafford edged Drake Maye for the MVP award on Thursday night in the closest race since Peyton Manning and Steve McNair were co-winners in 2003.

Smith-Njigba is just the sixth wide receiver to ever win Offensive Player of the Year since the award began being handed out in 1972. He joins Justin Jefferson (2022), Cooper Kupp (2021), Michael Thomas (2019), and Jerry Rice (1993 and 1987) as the only receivers to win the award.
The NFL is taking their game Down Under. The San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams will square off in the first-ever regular-season NFL game in Australia, the league announced on Thursday. The game will be played at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground and serve as part of an NFL-record nine international games in 2026 across four continents and seven countries and eight stadiums.
On the other side of the ball, rookie safety Nick Emmanwori went down with an ankle injury in practice Wednesday. According to the pool report from Kalyn Kahler, Emmanwori suffered the injury while defending a pass play. Per the report, he was able to walk off the field on his own.

The Cowboys traded Parsons to the Green Bay Packers last August in exchange for defensive tackle Kenny Clark and first-round picks from the 2026 and 2027 drafts. Parsons also agreed to a four-year extension that made him the highest-paid non-quarterback in the NFL as part of the trade.
