The weather hasn’t eased up for NASCAR this year, and the memories from the 2025 Daytona 500 are rather daunting. The 67th running of the Great American Race was delayed by over four hours due to rain.
A winter storm has delayed the exhibition event to Wednesday.
The Cook Out Clash was supposed be a two-day affair this past weekend. Now it's a one-day event slated for Wednesday if Winston-Salem weather obliges.
The NASCAR Clash may be further impacted by snow accumulation on Feb. 1.
About halfway through the Cook Out Clash, a snow squall hit the track. This lasted about ten minutes, but the ground became very wet. Subsequently, teams were allowed to put on wet tires. The race would end still with wet tires on.
