A man is hospitalized with life-threatening injuries following a shooting in Mesa.

A former police officer is weighing in on the shooting of the Mesa mother of seven who was killed on her neighbor's porch on Feb. 28.

Mesa police confirmed late Wednesday that a state Attorney General’s Office agent was “involved” in the shooting that ended in the death of an mother of seven over the weekend.

An employee with the Arizona Attorney General's Office was placed on administrative leave following his involvement in a Mesa woman's death.

Police said detectives are working to obtain additional evidence through search warrants and reviewing potential surveillance footage from the surrounding area.
