Micah Parsons is still learning his way in the NFC North rivalries of the Green Bay Packers. He is about to taste another Green Bay rivalry game this coming Sunday, as the Packers take on the Chicago Bears at Lambeau Field in Titletown. Parsons, however, explained that he isn’t all that invested in the Green Bay-Chicago rivalry. He is drawing motivation for this matchup from another source.“Rivarlies are for the people. It’s for the fans,” Parsons said on Thursday, per Ryan Wood of USA Today. “For me, it’s just going out there and just dominating. I just don’t like them because I just see like the disrespect… I play for respect. You know how to earn someone’s respect is beating the [expletive] out of them.”Packers and Bears know what’s on the line in Week 14 clashBut aside from the clear competitive enmity between Green Bay and Chicago, what’s adding even more spice to the flavor of this upcoming contest is the intensifying race to the top of the NFC North standings.Chicago currently sits atop the division with a 9-3 record, but the Packers could move back up to the top of the heap with a win over Caleb Williams and company.Traded by the Dallas Cowboys to Green Bay before the start of the 2025 NFL season, Parsons has acclimated well into his new environment, having already racked up another double-digit sack season. In his first year with Green Bay, the former Penn State Nittany Lions star pass rusher has 12.5 sacks and 24 quarterback hits through 12 games.Want more articles like this?
