Florida Panthers President of Hockey Operations & General Manager Bill Zito announced today that the club has agreed to terms with defenseman Matvei Shuravin on a three-year, entry-level contract commencing in 2026-27.

Aleksander Barkov had an assist for Finland at the 2026 IIHF World Championship on Friday in his first competitive hockey game since Game 6 of the 2025 Stanley Cup Final.  The Florida Panthers captain missed the entire NHL season after he was injured in training camp and needed ACL and MCL surgery in September.

Barkov, who missed the 2025-26 NHL season, had 11 points in 10 games for Finland during the 2026 World Championship in Switzerland.
