Sophomore Alabama baseball shortstop Justin Lebron was named a semifinalist for the Dick Howser Trophy, with the full group of players being announced by the Dick Howser Trophy Committee and National Collegiate Baseball Writers' Association on Thursday.

The expectations will be even higher for Alabama coach Kalen DeBoer in his second season as coach of the Crimson Tide, ESPN believes.

Alabama football’s season opener at Florida State will kickoff at 3:30 p.m. ET, according to the Action Network’s Brett McMurphy. The Crimson Tide will look to get its season started with a win in year two under Kalen DeBoer.

Regardless, FSU fans do have a little optimism that head coach Mike Norvell will be able to pull off another rebuild after retooling his coaching staff and roster.
