By signing deals with India’s two biggest telecom players, the tech tycoon and Trump adviser has improved his odds of breaking into an enormous market.

The entry of Starlink, the Elon Musk-led satellite internet company in India, looks much closer than ever before. This came to pass after two of the biggest telecom companies in India, Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel, signed pacts with the company for high-speed, low-latency internet in India.

The Centre has requested Starlink to establish a control centre in India. This will allow quick suspension or shutdown of communications for law and order. Starlink must also facilitate call interceptions through official channels.
