Bernthal has joined Tom Holland in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the latest Spider-Man movie from Sony and Marvel. Destin Daniel Cretton is directing the feature, which will shoot in England this summer and has a July 31, 2026, release date.

Next summer sees the release of Tom Holland’s fourth MCU solo movie as Peter Parker. Spider-Man: Brand New Day is expected to be a more grounded street-level Marvel adventure following the multiverse-clashing antics of Spider-Man: No Way Home,

Bernthal made his debut as vigilante Frank Castle, aka the Punisher, in Netflix’s Daredevil, later leading his own gritty Marvel series. He recently reprised the role in Daredevil: Born Again on Disney+, and Marvel is further investing in the character with a standalone Punisher film, which Bernthal is also co-writing.
