The Texas House of Representatives failed again on Tuesday afternoon to move forward on their redistricting effort as several Democratic members have fled the state over the proposed congressional maps.

The Texas House speaker signed arrest warrants for more than 50 Democrats who were absent Tuesday when the chamber gaveled in for a vote on redistricting.

Most Texas House Democrats remain out of the state, depriving the Legislature of its ability to pass new congressional maps and other GOP priorities.
