The Pacers are heading back to the finals for the first time since 2000, when Reggie Miller was the team's leading scorer.

The Pacers polished off the New York Knicks on Saturday, winning 125-108 in Game 6 of the Western Conference finals after a third-quarter rally. It will be their first NBA Finals appearance since 2000, back when Reggie Miller and Jalen Rose starred while Larry Bird coached.

The Indiana Pacers defeated the New York Knicks 125-108 to win the best-of-seven Eastern Conference Finals in six games and advance to the franchise’s first NBA Finals since 2000.

The Eastern Conference finals are heading back to Indianapolis for Game 6. With their backs against the wall, the New York Knicks delivered a wire-to-wire 17-point win over the Indiana Pacers in Game 5 on Thursday night to keep their season alive.

The Knicks are better than they have been in decades, and the city has fallen for the team’s unassuming but sharpshooting point guard.
