A day after smoke from Canadian wildfires created hazy conditions across Massachusetts, residents of the Bay State can expect to breathe a little easier on Tuesday. The smoke is expected to stick around,

The National Weather Service has issued an Air Quality Alert for areas north and west of Boston and Worcester for Tuesday. Eastern Massachusetts is no longer included in the alert.

The smoky air poses potential health risks for people including children, older adults and those with heart or lung disease.
