New York Democrats are looking to the attorney general to take action as the president barrels through his first few weeks in office.

New York's attorney general reminded health care facilities that they had to adhere to state discrimination laws regarding gender-affirming treatment.

New York hospitals should continue providing gender-affirming treatments to transgender minors despite an executive order from President Trump, New York Attorney General Letitia James said Monday. In an order last week,

Electing to refuse services to a class of individuals based on their protected status…is discrimination,” James wrote.
