Off-roading without doors is a lot of fun if you’re the one who decides to take the doors off. Off-roading without doors can be a little freaky if the doors decide to open themselves. That’s the issue that some 2024 Ineos Grenadier owners are facing, and the company has issued a recall to fix it.

The British brand says the door button mechanism on 2024 Grenadier models may have been assembled with not enough grease. This means the exterior door buttons may remain in the depressed position, preventing the door from fully latching. If this happens, the door could randomly open.

Produced for the US market between July 2023 and April 2024, no fewer than 7,022 units of the INEOS Grenadier will have their door button assemblies replaced

Ineos is recalling around 7,500 Grenadier SUVs, including 452 in Canada, because their doors could open unexpectedly.
