Maryland Judge Paula Xinis on Thursday granted Kilmar Abrego Garcia's request to be released from ICE custody.

A ‌federal ​judge on Friday blocked ‌an effort to have Kilmar Abrego returned ​to custody a day after his release from detention.

His case drew national attention during the Trump administration’s immigration enforcement efforts earlier this year after he was mistakenly deported to a notorious prison in El Salvador.
