Bosnia & Herzegovina’s Central Election Commission (CEC) has formally removed Milorad Dodik from his post as president of the country’s Serb entity, Republika Srpska, following the confirmation of a one-year prison sentence handed down by the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Bosnia's electoral authorities on Wednesday stripped separatist Bosnian Serb leader Milorad Dodik from his position as president of the Serb entity in Bosnia after an appeals court verdict that sentenced him to one year in jail and a six-year ban on all political activities.

Bosnian Serb entity President Milorad Dodik on Wednesday insisted he was going nowhere after Bosnia's electoral commission said he had been formally stripped of his post due to a one-year jail term.
