India's Reliance Consumer Products on Tuesday launched its home-grown cola brand, Campa Cola, in the United Arab Emirates, marking the brand's first foray into the global market dominated by U.S. beverage giants PepsiCo and Coca-Cola.

“Since acquiring Campa Cola in 2022 and reintroducing it to India in 2023, RCPL has successfully revived the heritage brand that held cult status in India in the 1970s and 1980s,” RCP said in a release. The Campa portfolio will initially include Campa Cola, Campa Lemon and Campa Orange and Cola Zero.

In big move to strengthen its FMCG (Fast moving consumer goods) footprint, Reliance Consumer Products Limited ( RCPL ), the FMCG arm of the Reliance Group, has made its debut in the UAE by launching Campa at the 30th edition of Gulfood in collaboration with Agthia Group, according to the company's announcement in a release today.

MUMBAI: Reliance is taking beverage brand Campa global with its launch in the UAE, broadening the firm’s play in the segment and stepping up competition against Coca-Cola and PepsiCo which have been nudged to revisit their strategies in India after Campa’s entry into the local market at cheaper price points.
